Introduction

Certificate Programme in Language Softwares and Field Techniques is a certificate programme of the department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts which will be run at the Directory of Certificate learning, both in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.  This program has become a necessity given the lack of expertise in handling softwares for linguistic analysis, among students, lecturers and language professionals; the need for standard documentation of intriguing aspects of our languages and the redundancy of collected data over the years.
